Like the strength this expresses - though I also feel the solitude... and the downward slope... think there can be both nobility and melancholy for such a one.

No... not weird at all... and if it survives and grows - it will be stronger then if had been in a heavy forest - but the problem may be, unlike you and me... there are those that will see this one tree... as an anomaly that should be brought down... another reason the picture is a good one... shows it was there.
